The InterTASC Information Specialists’ Sub-Group (ISSG) is a group of information professionals supporting evidence review groups within England and Scotland.
Aims and objectives
- To share best practice in information retrieval for technology assessment
- To develop the methods used to retrieve the information necessary for the different elements of a technology assessment report (TAR)
- To identify, prioritise and conduct investigations into methodological issues identified by the group
- To enhance cross-working between the various InterTASC groups and encourage harmonisation of methods
- To liaise with other groups with common issues, such as National Collaborating Centres Information Group, HTAi, the Cochrane Information Retrieval Methods group and the NICE Joint Information Group (JIG)
Activities
- Meetings twice a year which include business items, CPD activities and sharing research interests
- Chair of the group represents ISSG at InterTASC meetings and the NICE Joint Information Group (JIG)
